Schools running speed tests

The CAMI Speed Challenge, unlike Maths Olympiads, gives every child the chance to partake and advance in the competition.  It consists of the 1.9.1 Speed Test, done in school. Every speed test takes about 6 minutes to complete and every grade’s operations and limits differ from each other. The idea is to work as fast and accurately as possible. The combination of the child’s speed and accuracy is called his Performance Index (PI).

Once a school has done the first round of the competition the top 6 learners in each grade will advance to the semi-final, where the top learner in each grade will then advance to the final.  The winners of each grade at the final will each win a laptop with all the CAMI programs installed.
