CAMI LITERACY has evolved through scientific research and development undertaken by educators involved in education and training for over 30 years.
The course’s constituent criteria and component structures, practically applied over a period of 10 years, culminating in a Masters’ Thesis, also derive from and are inclusive of appropriate research conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council of South Africa (HSRC), the World Bank, and Unesco et al.
MAIN FOCUS OF CAMI LITERACY
The focus is on the acquisition of those basic, essential English language and reading skills in order to facilitate the development toward functional literacy competency. The logical structure and content integration of the training sessions have been designed to consolidate ongoing developmental skills acquisition and build on previous skills and acquired knowledge.
